Welcome to the Newkirk Main Street Website!

Newkirk is a small town with strong family values where the downtown is truly the center of the community.  Pride and teamwork on the part of a large number of residents result in a friendly and safe place to live and raise children.

Travelers of Highway 77 are enticed to the striking historic district with the largest collection of limestone buildings in Oklahoma restored to their original splendor and filled with prosperous businesses.  Although there are numerous competing shopping centers in nearby cities, the road travels both ways.  Non-residents are attracted to Newkirk, eager for a unique visiting experience where the service is friendly and the pace is slower.

These same attributes have attracted a growing number of retirees to Newkirk.  Our people value the small town way of life that IS Newkirk.

The mission of Newkirk Main Street is to encourage the community to preserve and promote its history and heritage and to improve Newkirk's downtown commercial area through the education of the citizens and businesses.
